Coralife 4x65 watt light fixture and coralife power center timer review

This is a pretty good light. It allows you to use one row for actinics and another for your daylights with independent plug ins and switches. It is really easy to buy the leg accessories on this unit to mount it a couple inches above the tank top. It is nice to have the ability to use a timer and have the actinics come on an hour or two before and stay on an hour or two after the daylights go off to mimic natural daylight cycles. This probably Aqualight Power Center - 1875W capac...sounds like a love fest for coralife but I have had this combo set up on my old 55g salt tank for well over three years. Very quiet  and dependable. I prefer the analog timer over the digital form of it because of the ease of use and you can look at the two timer dials and know when the cycles are on and off. This setup is perfect for a 48 inch tank (usually 55 or 75 gallons).  I have grown lots of soft corals under this light and even had a teardrop maxima clam flourishing under this light (very high placement). This light setup doesn't super heat your system, actually it runs very very cool and there are two fans on the top to keep the ballast cool for better efficiency. I would give this setup a 9/10 only for the fact that there are a few different styles of light pins they can take but if you look at your old lights before you order your new ones you will always get the right ones. Simple and easy!
